Anyway, I decided to do Esther's Wedding Gown next because I know some of you love it and I have so neglected you that I thought I would try to make it up to you this way. :)
As always, just click on a picture to see a larger sized image.
Esther's Wedding Gown
The sleeves also end is some sort of point that goes between her fingers. . . you can see that in the picture below.
The veil is made of the same sheer chiffon that the sleeves are. It has a crimson embroidered trim along the edge as well as beaded trim with sequins. The veil is VERY long, as you can see in this picture:
There is some sort of a black beaded headband she wears with it to keep it on. . . I could be wrong, but it looks almost as if it is knit or crocheted with seed beads worked in.
One of my favorite things about this outfit is the cape that drapes from the back of her dress to her wrists. I honestly don't know another term to use for it -- if anyone has a better one, let me know!
Once again, sheer chiffon with gold glitteries. I know, back to technical again. ;) This piece is attached at two points just behind Esther's shoulders as well as at her wrists, with quite a lot of fabric drape in between.
I puzzled an puzzled as to what shape this could possibly have been cut out in. . . and though I haven't had a chance to test it to prove if my theory is correct, I believe it is simply a nice large half circle. It may not be a perfect half circle, as it might be wider to better accent the drape between her shoulders and wrists. I could be wrong about that too.
Esther wears quite a bit of jewelry with this ensemble. The neclace is hugely intricate with tons of beading and detail. Then there's the crown. . . and my favorite, her hairpiece.
I confess that I don't have the hairpiece quite figured out yet, as there are quite a few details to it and it has little golden chains that come around from behind and fasten to her earrings as well as a piece that looks like it goes from the earrings under her hair and over her head. . . did I lose you yet?
Anyway, I know I missed some details on this dress, so if any of you have any input, I would love to hear it and I would gladly ammend this post to include the things you noticed.
Thanks for following and I look forward to your comments on this post!
